Taqwa Lock is designed to work without an account and to keep its core data on your device.
The app stores your onboarding preferences, selected protected apps or privacy-preserving platform tokens, pause duration, access-window preference, theme, protection state, and local intervention history. You can reset personalization and statistics from Settings.
If you enable protection, Android provides foreground window-state events to Taqwa Lock. The service uses the foreground package identifier only to determine whether the app is one you selected. Window-content retrieval is disabled. Taqwa Lock does not read screen text, messages, passwords, keystrokes, browsing content, or forms, and does not perform gestures inside other apps.
On supported Apple platforms, app selection and shielding use Family Controls and Managed Settings. Apple provides opaque selection tokens so Taqwa Lock does not receive the identity of selected applications through the Family Activity picker.
Taqwa Lock does not use artificial intelligence to generate Quran translation, tafsir, dhikr, or religious rulings. Published content is subject to source, licensing, and review controls.
The production release may retrieve signed content manifests and non-sensitive configuration. Optional diagnostics or aggregate analytics remain disabled until the user makes a clear consent choice. Selected app identities and religious-personalization answers are recursively removed from analytics and diagnostic context. Selected app identifiers, local user paths, and token-shaped secrets are redacted from diagnostic messages and stacks before transmission. Server-side constraints independently reject sensitive analytics/context keys and oversized payloads.
If optional premium features are introduced, purchases will be processed by Apple or Google and entitlement status may be managed by RevenueCat. Taqwa Lock will not receive full payment-card details.
Taqwa Lock does not sell personal data. Core local information is not shared with advertisers or data brokers.
Taqwa Lock is not designed to collect personal information from children. A future parent mode will require a separate product and privacy review before release.
Local data remains until you reset it or remove the app. If you consent to anonymous usage analytics, server-side analytics events are automatically deleted after 90 days. If you consent to diagnostics, crash reports are automatically deleted after 30 days. Inactive purchase-entitlement records and unreferenced purchase-webhook receipts are deleted after 400 days to support store reconciliation and disputes. Active entitlement records and the store event that currently supports them are retained while needed to provide purchased access. Reset All Local Data requests earlier deletion of the current anonymous cloud identity and its analytics and diagnostic rows.
