The App was previously published under the name Halal Scanner. It is the same application, published by the same developer, under the same package name; only the name and branding changed.

Daleel helps you scan packaged-food labels to understand their ingredients and whether they are halal, haram or doubtful. This document explains what we collect and why, and the terms on which you may use the App. We built Daleel to need as little personal data as possible.

PRIVACY POLICY

Information we collect: an anonymous account created when you open the app (no name, email or phone required); onboarding preferences such as goals and dietary focus; the product photos you take of a product front and its ingredients label, which are sent for analysis to identify the product and read its ingredients; your scan history and AI chat messages; and basic technical data needed to run the service.

How we use it: to analyse labels and produce halal-status assessments, to personalise recommendations, to power the AI assistant, and to keep the app secure and reliable.

Service providers: Supabase (secure backend, database and storage), OpenRouter and routed AI model providers such as Google or OpenAI (analyse label text and photos), RevenueCat (subscription status), and Google and Apple (process subscription payments — we never receive your card details).

We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for advertising. Data is sent over encrypted connections. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing [email protected], and deleting the app removes data stored on your device. Daleel is not directed to children under 13.

Your rights: depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete your data, or to object to certain processing. Contact us at the address above to exercise them.

Need help with Daleel, whether it is scanning, results, or subscriptions? Email [email protected] and we aim to reply within 2 business days. For subscription questions, include your device model and the approximate purchase date; never send passwords or payment-card details. To manage or cancel a subscription, use your Google Play or Apple Account settings, and use Restore Purchases in the app if an active subscription is not recognised.

TERMS OF USE

By using Daleel you agree to these terms. Daleel provides AI-generated halal and haram assessments and ingredient insights to help you decide. It is informational guidance, not a binding fatwa, and is not a substitute for a qualified scholar's ruling or for professional dietary or allergy advice. Always read the actual product packaging and verify doubtful ingredients with the manufacturer.

Subscriptions: Daleel offers auto-renewing subscriptions, Weekly and Yearly. There is no free trial. The weekly plan is offered with a reduced introductory price for the first week, which is a paid period and not a trial; after that first week the subscription renews at the standard weekly price. All prices are shown in the App in your local currency before purchase.

Payment is charged to your Google Play account or your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Google Play or Apple Account settings.

Daleel is provided as is, without warranties, and we are not liable for decisions made based on the app's output. We may update these terms, and continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
